Pembroke castle

The castle is located in the town of Pembroke in South Wales.The first castle was built in 1093, a wooden construction.In 1189 work started to transform and change the castle through the use of stone, improvements which where continued down through history.
The castle is surrounded on three sides by the tidal River Cleddau,which made it a formidable stronghold.It was also the birth place of Henry Tudor father of Henry VIII .
