The tranquil harbour has sheltered boats at this quite coastal location for many years. Its Welsh name is Llandrillo-yn-Rhos,named after a sixth century saint,at whose church in the village can be found the grave of Harold Lowe, the Fifth Officer of the doomed Titanic, who famously rowed back towards the disaster area to look for survivors.
