St-Asaph--Cathedral
Founded around 543 by St Cyndeyrn,the cathedral,was destroyed by the English in 1282 as it was considered to be a supporter of the cause for Welsh independence.Rebuilt in the 14th century,it has a memorial to H.M.Stanley, the famous Welsh-American explorer,who entered the local workhouse in 1847.
